The JConcepts Razor L.D. 1:8 Buggy/Truck Wing in White (part SCH-JC5125W) brings low-drag aero performance to off-road racing. Developed from the brand’s proven Aero range and influenced by modern polycarbonate wing concepts, it integrates a single vertical side-dam to aid high-speed direction changes and 180-degree corners while maintaining stability.

Overview

Recessed, IFMAR-legal side-dams accept decals and add rigidity, while angled leading edges and radiused corners help reduce air resistance. A dropped centre section allows the wing to sit lower on the vehicle, lowering the centre of mass, and tall centre dividers improve tracking. The rear dam transitions in two stages to free up the car and promote consistent jumping in big-air sections.

Underneath, a performance core features a centre fin and lightweight pocketing, plus pre-marked locations to open the rear dam for additional airflow if desired. A moulded mounting grid aids square, accurate installation. Designed in the USA and proven with race-winning results, including a 1:8 truck victory at the 2025 Southern Indoor Championships by Ryan Maifield, the Razor L.D. blends appearance and performance. Specifications

Adding to the latest trend of 1:8th off-road wing performance, JConcepts presents the Razor “low drag” wing to an already successful line of Aero products. For the IFMAR Worlds, JConcepts dug into the arsenal to produce a combination wing including elements first rising to prominence with polycarbonate wings. The use of a single vertical direction side-dam is incorporated into the base wing feature to provide a little freedom during highspeed turning and 180-degree corners.

As with all JConcepts wings, the side-dams are recessed for decal placement and increased rigidness. The leading edge of the dams are angled, providing that exclusive JConcepts look to slide through the air with ease. The base of the wing has multiple heights, the center section allows the wing to sit lower on the vehicle. On each side of the lowered section, tall center dividers channel the vehicle and help maintain stability. Added for continuity, the fangs are built in several locations mimicking the 1:10th carpet | turf | dirt off-road wings.

A lowered rear dam transitions twice to free up the vehicle and jump more consistently in high flight conditions. Underneath, the wing has a performance core with center fin and light-weight pocketing to reduce the overall weight. It’s common for racers to add holes to the back of the wing with hand trimming and tuning. The Razor wing has pre-marked locations to allow the opening of the rear dam to allow more wind flow and air to escape during jumping.

A grid is positioned and molded into the design to allow the racer to mount squarely and accurately to just about any 1:8th off-road vehicle. The Razor L.D. wing is now available in additional colors. The popularity of the white, black, yellow, and gray is standard in the line-up, but for 2025, the team from Groveland, Florida is now offering retro pink and red to bolster the line-up. The RM2 variations should appear around the world on buggies and trucks with matching paint schemes and patterns to give even more options to the racer.

At the races, Ryan Maifield won the 1:8th truck class at the 2025 Southern Indoor Championships using the new “L.D.” Razor wing. Racers reported having more overall pace on the track while being able to navigate the small radius corners and more consistency over big air jumps and stretch double and triples.
