The Joysway Dragon Force 65 V8 RTR Sailing Yacht (JY8815V8) brings the latest Version 8 refinements to the acclaimed DF65 platform. Designed to elevate quality and precision without compromising the competitiveness of earlier versions, the V8 pairs a painted blow‑moulded ABS hull with carbon fibre spars and 50 micron Mylar racing sails for crisp, responsive handling. With a Flysky i6 radio system and the new 2025 sail winch servo included, it offers accurate sail control and race‑winning capability straight out of the box. Just add batteries for the transmitter to get sailing.

- Servo tray screws replaced with flat head screws.
- Servo tray modified with larger mounting holes; mounted plate now secured from the top.
- New switch mounting plate allows switch replacement from the top of the servo tray.
- Modified dimensions of the black hatch cover patch and battery cover patch.
- New moulded, reinforced rudder servo arm.
- Improved rudder metal arm; clevis hole reduced from 2.0 mm to 1.9 mm to minimise play.
- Two bearings upgraded to 404 stainless steel.
- Modified mast stub and mast joiner with 4.97 mm OD tube for improved fit and better mast bend under tension.
- Reinforced mainsheet bridle plate – thicker and stronger.
- Mast deck sliding plate width increased from 19.3 to 19.8 mm to stop sideways wobble via tighter keel box fit.
- Improved mast deck plate positioning nut to prevent drop-out from the keel box.
- All mast deck plate and keel screws, nuts and washers changed to 316 stainless steel.
- Jib boom rear plug redesign enables external threading for easier jib boom lifting cord changes.
- DF65 sails clew hook increased from 0.6 to 0.8 mm.
- Mainsail luff ring with increased bend for a more secure hook shape.
- Improved forestay steel wire; shortened with thinner copper clamps to prevent loop loosening.
- All sail corners upgraded from single to double-layer patches for reinforcement.

The new updated (Version 8) Dragon Force 65 sailboat. The DragonForce 65 has undergone a major transformation to bring the quality and appearance up to the high standard set by its bigger brother the DragonFlite 95, without affecting the competitiveness of previous versions. This truly is a stunning and race winning boat - straight out of the box!
Features- Servo tray screws are replaced with flat head screws.
- Servo tray is modified with larger the mounting holes & secure the mounted plate with screws from top of servo tray.
- New switch mounting plate - now sailors can replace the power switch from top of the servo tray, no more disassembly of the servo tray to replace the switch.
- Modified dimensions of the black hatch cover patch and battery cover patch.
- New molded rudder servo arm (reinforced).
- Improved rudder metal arm, the hole which fit with clevis change from 2mm diameter to 1.9mm diameter, this change will make sure the rudder fits better, minimises the left and right clearance.
- Two bearing change to 404 stainless steel material.
- Modified mast stub and mast joiner with tube at outer diameter of 4.97mm to improve the fit. The whole mast unit will have better curve under tension.
- Mainsheet Bridle Plate modification - reinforced, thicker & stronger.
- Mast deck sliding plate, modified mold:Width from 19.3 to 19.8mm, stop mast deck plate sideways wobble by tighter fit with keel box top molding.
- Improved mast deck plate positioning nut. Prevent nut drop out from keel box.
- Screws, nuts, washers for the mast deck plate, screws for keel - all change to 316 stainless steel.
- Jib boom rear plug, design change, cord can be thread through outside, easy for changing the jib boom lifting cord.
- DF65 sails clew hook 0.6 change to 0.8mm.
- Main sail luff ring, increase the bend on the end to form more of a hook shape.
- Better quality forestay steel wire, Shorten the forestay wire length, use thinner copper clamp to clamping the top and bottom wire, prevent wire loop loosening.
- All sail corners, change from one layer patch per side to two layers patches to reinforce.
- Change to better quality elasticated sheeting cord.
- Included is the new 2025 winch servo for more accurate sails control.

Yes, the Joysway Dragon Force 65 V8 is naturally self-righting.
Because it is a sailing yacht rather than a motorized speedboat, its self-righting behavior relies on pure physics rather than electronic or mechanical flip systems.
How the Self-Righting Mechanism Works
The Weighted Keel: The boat features a deep, extruded aluminium keel fitted with a heavy zinc alloy ballast bulb at the very bottom.
The Pendulum Effect: If a heavy gust of wind catches the 50-micron Mylar racing sails and knocks the boat completely over on its side (known as "broaching"), the weight of the bulb acts like a bottom-heavy pendulum.
Instant Recovery: The physics of the low center of gravity automatically pulls the moulded ABS hull back upright the moment the wind pressure on the sails decreases.
