Description

The ICM Ki-27a - Japan Army Fighter (HC-ICM72201) is a 1:72 plastic model kit of the Japanese Imperial Army's Type 97 Fighter Model Ko. The Ki-27 was the first serial monoplane fighter aircraft developed for the Japanese Imperial Army, with the first of two Nakajima prototypes flying in October 1936.

Series production was ordered in December 1937, resulting in the Ki-27a. The aircraft saw combat over China and Mongolia in 1938 and 1939, where its manoeuvrability made it a serious opponent for Soviet-built I-15bis and I-16 fighters. This kit represents the early Ki-27a variant and includes plastic sprues with 65 parts, together with detailed assembly instructions.
