Description

The ICM Ki-27b - Japan Army Fighter (HC-ICM72202) is a 1:72 plastic model kit representing the first serial monoplane fighter aircraft of the Japanese Imperial Army. The kit contains 56 parts and includes detailed assembly instructions to guide construction.

The Nakajima Ki-27 began with two prototypes, the first of which flew in October 1936. Series production was ordered in December 1937, creating the Type 97 Fighter Model Ko, also known as the Ki-27a. The aircraft was noted for its manoeuvrability and saw combat against Soviet-built I-15bis and I-16 fighters during air battles over China and Mongolia in 1938 and 1939.

This kit depicts the Ki-27b variant and provides a choice of historical aircraft markings from several units and periods. The finished model measures 104 mm in length and 157 mm in width, while the packaging measures 247 x 183 x 33 mm.
