Koswork Buggy Clutch Assembly Tool Set KOS13207-CLSET

The Koswork Buggy Clutch Shoe & Spring Assembly Tool Set, part number KOS13207-CLSET, is a hardened-steel tool set for installing and removing clutch shoes and springs. It is intended for use with three-shoe clutches only and includes the KOS13207-GR GR Quick Release 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) Drive Hex Driver Handle. The tool can also be fitted to a handle with a 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) quick-release bit holder.

Features

The tool uses a spring guide hook to work beneath the clutch spring and lift it from the clutch nut groove. During installation, the guide lifts the spring above the clutch nut while the shoe is positioned. The top of the tool can then be used to push the spring into the groove if it is not seated correctly. For removal, the same guide lifts the spring out of the groove so the clutch shoe and spring can be taken off the crank.

The included driver handle provides the 1/4-inch drive required for using the tool. The assembly is made from hardened steel and manufactured in Taiwan. This set is supplied as a tool accessory only; cars, separate parts and other accessories are not included.

Using the Tool

To install a clutch shoe, place the tool spring guide under the clutch spring and turn the tool counter-clockwise. This lifts the spring above the clutch nut and allows the shoe to be pushed into position. Turn the tool clockwise so the spring guide rotates out from beneath the clutch spring. If the spring has not settled into the clutch nut groove, use the top of the tool to press it into place.

To remove a clutch shoe, place the spring guide hook beneath the clutch spring and rotate the tool counter-clockwise. The spring is lifted from the clutch nut groove, allowing the tool to be pulled from the crank with the clutch shoe and spring.
