LGB Rhb Metal Steam Loco G 3/4 Ld1 Epvi

The LGB RhB Metal Steam Loco G 3/4 LD 1 (HC-L26274) models the celebrated Rhätische Bahn “Rhätia”, the first locomotive of the Rhaetian Railroad. Built in heavy metal construction with finely rendered, separately applied details, it captures the locomotive’s character in the prototypical black Era I livery with LD 1 lettering – as originally used and planned again following the 2024 overhaul. Opening cab and smoke box doors reveal a fully detailed cab interior for enhanced realism.

A powerful motor drives all coupled wheels via side rods for confident, smooth running. The integrated mfx/DCC decoder provides a rich suite of light and sound functions, including headlights, cab lighting and running sounds, with a whistle that can also be triggered by a reed switch. In digital operation, the rear coupler can be operated remotely, while the core running sounds remain available in analogue mode.

A built-in smoke generator delivers immersive steam effects: exhaust synchronised to wheel rotation, cylinder steam, steam at the vacuum brake exhaust, and a plume at the whistle when activated. Together, these functions make the LD 1 an evocative centrepiece for operation and display.
