Description

The ICM Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3 - WWII German Fighter, part number HC-ICM72131, is a 1:72 scale plastic model kit representing one of the best-known fighters operated by the German Luftwaffe during the Second World War. The kit contains 43 parts and includes detailed assembly instructions to guide construction.

The Bf 109 was part of the first generation of high-speed fighter monoplanes developed during the 1930s. The Bf 109E modification appeared in 1938, while the E-3 became one of the first mass-produced German fighter variants. Aircraft of this type saw service during the Polish, Norwegian and French campaigns of 1939-1940, as well as in later air operations over the Balkans, North Africa and the Soviet-German front.

This kit focuses on the Bf 109E-3 variant and presents detailed plastic sprues for assembly. The finished model has a length of 122 mm and a width of 137 mm, making it a compact subject for a 1:72 scale aircraft collection. The box measures 247 x 183 x 33 mm.

Specifications

The Messerschmitt Bf 109 is a symbol of German Luftwaffe air power. This aircraft belonged to the first generation of 30s high speed fighter-monoplanes, and late versions were produced to the end of WWII. The modification Bf 10 9E first appeared in 1938. Bf 109E-3 became the first mass-produced German fighters. They took part in Polish, Norwegian and French campaigns in 1939-1940. During the Battle of Britain (August-October 1940) Bf 109E-4 fighters entered service. The main difference was the new canopy with armoured windscreen. Bf 109E-7/Trop had special tropical equipment.
