Description

The ICM MiG-25 RB - Soviet Reconnaissance Plane (HC-ICM72173) is a 1:72 scale plastic aircraft kit representing the reconnaissance-bomber version of the MiG-25. Developed by the Mikoyan Design Bureau at the end of the 1960s, the MiG-25 became the world’s first interceptor fighter capable of Mach 3, while the RB modification was designed for reconnaissance and bombing duties.

This model reproduces the MiG-25 RB with a detailed cockpit interior and chassis. The kit contains 193 parts, with detailed sprues made from plastic and assembly instructions to guide construction. Bomb armament is included, allowing the completed aircraft to represent the reconnaissance-bomber configuration. The MiG-25 RB served with the Soviet and later Russian Air Force, and was also supplied to Iraq and Libya.

Markings Available

The four-version decal sheet provides markings for aircraft operated in Soviet, Egyptian, UAR and Iraqi service. The available subjects cover different periods and operators:

  • MiG-25RB, 154th Independent Air Detachment, Cairo-West, ARE, May 1974
  • MiG-25RB, Soviet Air Force, late 1970s
  • MiG-25RB, Independent Air Detachment, UAR, 1971–1972
  • MiG-25RB, late production, Iraqi Air Force, 1980

Specifications

  • Number of parts: 193
  • Length: 315 mm
  • Width: 189 mm
  • Box size: 294 x 230 x 58 mm

The finished model presents the distinctive long fuselage, broad wings and twin-engine layout of the MiG-25 RB in a compact display scale.
