The ICM Panhard 178 AMD-35 is a 1:35 scale model kit of the famous WWII French armoured vehicle, supplied under part number HC-ICM35373. Known for its role with French cavalry units in 1940, the AMD-35 combined mobility with a rear-mounted engine, all-wheel drive and a 25 mm anti-tank gun.
Designed by Panhard as a reconnaissance vehicle and produced from 1934, the Panhard 178 saw extensive service in the spring of 1940. With correct tactics, it could hold its own against contemporary German tanks and armoured cars. This kit captures the vehicle with finely rendered detail across the chassis, engine and interior.

The most numerous and famous French armoured vehicle was the AMD-35. It was designed by the Panhard Company as a reconnaissance vehicle for cavalry. Its serial production was launched in 1934. It was named Panhard 178. These vehicles had a rear engine and all-wheel drive. Their main armament was a 25mm anti-tank gun. 551 vehicles were produced up to 1940. As part of the French Army cavalry units, Panhard 178 took part in combat in the spring of 1940. With proper use, these machines could resist the German tanks and armoured cars of all types.
