Request Stock NotificationThe ICM Panzerspähwagen P 204 (f) 1:35 scale model kit (HC-ICM35374) depicts the French Panhard 178 armoured reconnaissance car as captured and used by German forces in World War II. Originally developed as the AMD-35 with a rear engine, all-wheel drive and a 25 mm anti-tank gun, the Panhard 178 served in the French Army in 1940. Over 200 examples were seized and pressed into service by the Wehrmacht and Waffen SS under the designation Pz.späh.204 (f).

The most numerous and famous French armoured vehicle was the AMD-35. It was designed by the Panhard Company as a reconnaissance vehicle for the French army. Its serial production was launched in 1934, and it was designated as Panhard 178. These vehicles had a rear engine and all-wheel drive. Their main armament was a 25mm anti-tank gun. 551 vehicles were produced up to 1940. As part of the French Army cavalry units, Panhard 178 took part in combat in the spring of 1940. More than 200 vehicles were captured by the German army and, under the designation Pz.späh.204 (f), were used by the Wehrmacht and the Waffen SS.
