The ICM Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf.B King Tiger with Henschel Turret (late production) in 1:35 scale (part HC-ICM35363) recreates the most powerful German heavy tank of WWII. Designed by Henschel under E. Aders and entering serial production in February 1944, the Tiger II/Königstiger combined formidable armour with a long‑barrelled 8.8 cm gun capable of defeating Allied armour beyond 2,000 metres. From July 1944 Henschel turrets were fitted, and from October 1944 the application of Zimmerit ceased. Despite limited mobility and powertrain reliability, these vehicles served with heavy tank battalions until the end of the war.

This ICM kit offers a precise late-production King Tiger with the Henschel turret, supported by a four-option decal sheet that covers late-war Eastern Front and Ardennes subjects. A solid choice for modellers focusing on WWII German armour in 1/35 scale.

The most heavy and powerful tank of WWII was the German Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf.B. It was designed by the Henschel Company under the leadership of E Aders. Its serial production was launched in February 1944. The tank had heavy armour and a long-barrelled 8.8 cm cannon. Its armour-piercing projectiles were capable of hitting any allied tank at a distance of over 2,000 metres. The downside was that the tank possessed insufficient mobility, and the questionable reliability of the power plant and the transmission did not help matters.

The tank received the nicknames Tiger II and Königstiger. From July 1944, Henschel turrets were installed, and from October 1944 the application of the Zimmerit coating was stopped. Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf.B tanks served in heavy tank battalions until the end of the war. The Germans produced 479 Königstigers during 1944 to 1945.
