Description

The REDS VX4H 540 4.5T sensored brushless motor, part number REDMTTE0050H, is a GEN4 1/10 electric motor with a 2-pole design. It is designed for controlled, consistent operation in competition applications, combining an optimised stator, low-resistance copper wire and a two-piece CNC-machined can to support electrical efficiency and heat dissipation.

The stator uses maximum low-resistance copper wire, low-resistance collector rings and gold-plated solder tabs. Together, these features are intended to reduce internal resistance and support higher RPM. The larger stator and revised can improve cooling compared with the previous REDS motor generation, while titanium screws help reduce iron losses.

Motor Features

A precision-balanced, high-temperature neodymium rotor provides the magnetic drive for the motor. Optional rotors are available separately to allow tuning for different track conditions. Optional ceramic bearings are also available for drivers seeking further changes to motor operation and durability under demanding conditions.

Extensive track testing is reported to have produced more consistent performance, lower operating temperatures and smoother, quieter running. Each motor is also available in a factory-selected version, offering a pre-selected setup for use out of the box. The Pro Stock version uses a super high-torque rotor with magnetic flux density reaching up to 1850 Gauss, along with a performance stator and titanium screws.
