Description

The REDS VX4H 540 5.5T Brushless motor 2 poles sensored (part number REDMTTE0052H) is a GEN4 1/10 electric brushless motor. It is designed for racing applications and combines a low-resistance stator, a two-piece CNC-machined can and a precision-balanced neodymium rotor.

The stator uses copper magnetic wire, low-resistance collector rings and gold-plated solder tabs. This arrangement is intended to reduce magnetic and electrical losses while supporting heat dissipation and higher motor speed. The larger stator and two-piece can provide increased cooling compared with the previous REDS motor generation.

A high-temperature neodymium rotor is fitted and precision balanced for smooth operation. REDS also offers optional rotors for tuning the motor to different track conditions. Optional ceramic bearings are available for applications where additional performance and durability are required under extreme operating conditions.

Titanium screws are used to reduce iron losses, while track testing of the GEN4 design has focused on consistent output, lower operating temperatures and quieter motor operation. The REDS range is also available in a factory-selected version, intended to provide a prepared setup when the motor is installed.
