Description
The RPM Front Bumper and Skid Plate for the Traxxas Sledge uses a unique design that works with the Sledge’s forward-moving body mount. RPM replaces the stock bumper with a hinge pin retainer, swaps the stock skid for a wider and longer unit, and bolts a dedicated bumper to the skid. Sitting below the body, the assembly allows full latch movement while adding robust front-end protection.
Each component is moulded in black from RPM’s exclusive blend of engineering-grade nylons for strength and durability. As with all RPM moulded parts, it is made in the USA and backed by a limited lifetime warranty against breakage.

Specifications
The RPM Front Bumper and Skid Plate for the Traxxas Sledge is a unique design that works with the Sledge’s body mounting mechanism. Traxxas designed the body mounting system to move forward instead of rearward. Because it moves forward by well over 1” (25mm), it severely limits bumper design. However, RPM engineers found a way to incorporate a fully functioning bumper with this unique body mounting system.
How did we do it? First, we eliminated the stock bumper and replaced it with a hinge pin retainer, since realistically, that’s all the stock bumper really is. Next, we eliminated the stock skid plate in favor of a wider, longer and more protective skid. Lastly, we bolted a unique bumper to the front of the skid plate. Our system sits below the body, which allows the body mounting system full range of motion, yet the Sledge finally has some tough, RPM front end protection.
Each component is molded in black from our exclusive blend of engineering grade nylons for unmatched strength and durability. All RPM molded products are made in the USA and backed by our limited lifetime warranty against breakage.
