RPM Rear A-Arms Blue For Associated MT8 (RPM70205) are a blue pair of A-arms with suggested compatibility for the Associated MT8. They are designed with increased material around the inner and outer hinge-pin areas, helping provide a more substantial construction than the stock A-arms. The inner hinge-pin area has 7% more surrounding material and a width increase of nearly 40%, while the outer hinge-pin area has 28% more material and is 9% wider.
The support beams remain approximately 12.7 mm thick across nearly the entire arm length, rather than tapering significantly towards the outer hinge pins. A slight taper at the inner hinge pins reduces the narrowest point to approximately 11.43 mm, matching the available space around the inner hinge-pin bosses. Four support beams are used instead of two to maintain the arm structure through this tapered section.

RPM Front A-arms for the Associated Rival MT8 are designed to improve durability over stock A-arms. How did we do it? First, by increasing the amount of material surrounding the inner hinge pins by 7%. We then increased the width of that thicker diameter by nearly 40%! The amount of material at the outer hinge pins was also improved by 28%! We also increased the width there too, by another 9%.
The support beams on our A-arms also got beefier. At their thickest, stock a-arms are roughly 1/2” (12.7mm) thick, but taper down on both ends. That amounts to a loss of nearly 30% of their thickness at the outer hinge pins. Not with RPM! Our A-arms are a full 1/2” (12.7mm) over nearly their entire length! We only taper them slightly at the inner hinge pins (.45” or 11.43mm at their narrowest) to match the maximum size allowable of the inner hinge pin bosses. To compensate for that slight taper, we use four massive support beams instead of two, making RPM MT8 A-arms the toughest alternative to stock available!
