Request Stock NotificationThe ICM Sankas WWII Wehrmacht Ambulance Trucks (part number HC-ICMDS3523) is a 1:35 plastic model set depicting three German medical transport vehicles from the Second World War. In Wehrmacht soldier folklore, these ambulances were nicknamed ‘Sanka’ and were used by the Army Medical Service to evacuate the wounded.
Ambulance trucks were frequently converted from military or civilian platforms, spanning standard wheeled chassis and half-tracked “Maultier” types. Their enclosed bodies were equipped with stretchers, and markings varied by unit: Red Cross insignia appeared on white circles or squares of no fixed size, and sometimes a simple white flag with a red cross was used.
