Tamiya 1/20 Celica LB Turbo Gr.5

Celebrate a classic of Group 5 racing with the Tamiya 1/20 Celica LB Turbo Gr.5 plastic model kit (HC-20072). Based on the 1978 release, this non-motorised edition recreates the Toyota Celica Liftback racer campaigned in the 1977 DRM, complete with new Cartograf decals, new slick tyres and an instruction manual. At 1/20 scale, the finished model measures 240mm long, 105mm wide and 61mm high.

The kit captures the aggressively flared bodywork, FRP-style panels and prominent rear wing associated with the period machine that famously scored its maiden victory in October 1977, defeating the Porsche 935. Detailed renderings of the inline-4 DOHC turbo engine and roll-caged cockpit are included, with the front cowl designed to be removed to showcase the powerplant.
