Tamiya 1/35 M1A2 Sep Tusk II

The Tamiya 1/35 M1A2 SEP TUSK II (HC-35326) captures the Abrams main battle tank as upgraded for urban combat. Using new data gathered for improved accuracy, this plastic assembly kit provides finely rendered details and the option to depict TUSK I or TUSK II configurations.

During operations in Iraq, Abrams crews received Tank Urban Survival Kits (TUSK) to counter RPGs and IEDs in built-up areas. TUSK I introduced reactive armour on the hull sides, underside protection, a barrel-mounted M2 machine gun, infrared cameras and an external infantry telephone. TUSK II further added tile-shaped reactive armour on the turret and hull sides, an armoured commander’s shield and a rear-view camera. These field-fitted options varied between vehicles; parts are included to depict both TUSK I and TUSK II features.
