About MCI Rations

Introduced around 1960 to replace C-Rations, MCI (Meal, Combat, Individual) rations were widely issued to U.S. forces during the Vietnam War. A full carton held 12 individual rations. Each ration comprised four cans, typically including an entrée (such as meat or spaghetti), crackers, jam, and a dessert, plus an accessory pack with items like salt, sugar, and tissue paper.
