Tamiya 1/350 Ijn Yamato

This all-new Tamiya 1/350 scale IJN Yamato captures the battleship as she appeared on her final sortie to Okinawa. Based on the latest research, the hull, superstructure and many surface details have been reworked for enhanced accuracy and finer definition. Supplied as part number HC-78025, the kit can be built as either a waterline or full-hull display model to suit your preferred presentation.

Engineering updates focus on realistic assembly and finish. Around 90% of deck components are moulded as separate parts to aid painting and achieve crisp detail, including superstructure fittings and anti-aircraft weaponry. Functional features such as freely rotating main turrets with interior and below-deck mount detail, plus poly-caps for quick barrel angle changes (30-degree or 3-degree elevation), add to the display possibilities. Elastomer parts reproduce the canvas mantlets at the base of the main guns and sandbags for AA positions with convincing texture, while durable ABS masts reduce brittleness. Photo-etched ladders and radar elements are included to sharpen the overall appearance.
