The A6M Zero was the main fighter of the Japanese Navy at the outset of the Pacific War and continued to evolve throughout the conflict. This Tamiya A6M5/5A Zero (Zeke) kit, part number HC-61103, represents the refined Model 52 that entered service from 1943 with shortened, semi‑circular wingtips and improvements to balance, speed, armour, manoeuvrability and cruising performance. The type saw intense action over the Solomon Islands and later at the Mariana Islands, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
