The Tamiya Jagdpanther Late Version in 1/48 scale (part number HC-32522) captures the imposing lines of Germany’s famed tank destroyer with crisp detail and a realistic presence. Designed to sit naturally alongside other 1/48 German AFVs such as the Panther G and Hetzer, this kit delivers fine surface textures and smart engineering for a satisfying build.
Historical Background
The Late Version Jagdpanther mounted a powerful 88mm gun within a sloped, wedge-shaped superstructure, combining strong offensive capability with effective protection. With 80mm armour at the front and 50mm at the sides, a Maybach V12 providing dependable power, and a combat weight of around 46 tons, it balanced firepower, mobility and survivability. A total of 415 vehicles were produced by 1945, serving primarily on the Eastern Front and later in the Ardennes Offensive.

About the German Tank Destroyer Jagdpanther Late Version
The Jagdpanther featured a powerful 88mm gun mounted in a superstructure featuring 80mmarmor at the front and 50mm at the sides. The front and side armor plates were sloped tofurther improve their protective power, giving the Jagdpanther its imposing, wedge-shapedappearance. Weighing in at 46 tons and propelled by the powerful Maybach V12 cylinderengine, this tank destroyer featured a good balance of fire power, protection and mobility. Atotal of 415 Jagdpanthers were produced by 1945, most equipping battalions on the EasternFront, although many were transferred to the West to take part in the Ardennes Offensive.
