The Traxxas DCB M41 Widebody Boat (part number TRX57046-4) is a faithful scale replica of the DCB M-Series flagship designed by Dave Hemmingson. Inspired by the full-size catamaran renowned for its 175 mph capability with twin Mercury Racing 1350 engines, this 40-inch model captures the M41’s sleek lines and confident handling in an easy-to-run, Ready-To-Race package.
Built for serious performance, the DCB M41 combines a water-cooled Velineon 540XL brushless motor with the waterproof VXL-6s Marine speed control to deliver 50+ mph speeds on 6S LiPo power. The twin-hull catamaran design provides remarkable stability across light chop and smooth water alike, while razor-sharp handling makes carving precise turns feel effortless. Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) adds confidence at high speed by helping the boat stay planted and track straight.
Durable hardware backs up the power: blue-anodised aluminium rudder support and drive strut, stainless steel trim tabs and fasteners, and Traxxas High-Current Connectors for efficient power delivery. Practical touches like adjustable battery trays with hook-and-loop straps and a quick-release Power Module simplify setup and maintenance. No it does not.
We do not know of any and see no reason for upgrades as it is very quick and well built. You could upgrade the servo if needed but apart from that and batteries we do not know of any other upgrades.
Sorry they only do them in the colours listed.
Top speed is 50+ Mph using 3S LiPos, or 35+ Mph on 2S LiPos.
