The Traxxas TRX9495A delivers the Pro Series Magnum 272R as a complete, factory-assembled transmission upgrade. Developed for the hard-hitting Drag Slash, this new-generation 272R brings a low-profile case, a rigid 3.2 mm T-6 aluminium motor plate, and a hardened steel top shaft to maximise durability and driveline precision.
The reinforced, precision-moulded case seals out dirt and debris while creating a rigid structure to support the motor, suspension arms, and an optional wheelie bar. Inside, all-metal input, idler, and differential gears run on large-diameter bearings. The keyed, press-fit input gear improves concentricity and strength over pin-mounted designs.
A sealed bevel-gear differential with X-ring and gasket sealing arrives pre-greased for balanced, all-round performance. Tuning is straightforward by adding silicone oil to adjust locking action for surface traction. Maintenance is equally simple thanks to the removable differential: disconnect the driveshafts, open the hatch, and release the diff in minutes.
Suggested compatibility includes Traxxas 2WD Bandit, Rustler, Stampede, and Slash models (standard and VXL). he Pro Series Magnum 272R transmission is engineered for strength with its rugged, reinforced case. The case halves engage precisely to seal out dirt and debris, and create a rigid structure to support the motor, suspension arms, and optional wheelie bar. The thick T-6 aluminium motor plate resists flex and acts as a heatsink.
All-Metal Internal Gears
This race-ready transmission is built for massive torque with high-strength steel input, idler, and differential gears and large-diameter bearings. The input gear is keyed and press fit onto the top shaft for greater precision and strength than a pin-mounted gear.
Sealed Beveled-Gear Differential
The heavy-duty steel-gear differential is X-ring and gasket-sealed and filled with grease for all-around performance. It's easy to tune the differential's locking action by adding different viscosity silicone oil to suit surface traction.
Removable Differential
The Magnum 272R's easily removable differential makes maintenance and tuning easier than ever. Disconnect the driveshafts and open the hatch to release the differential in just minutes.
