Description
The ICM Vehicles of the DAK – German WWII Afrika Korps (Set of 3) brings together three faithfully reproduced 1:35 scale vehicles used by the Wehrmacht’s Afrika Korps in the North African Campaign. Part number HC-ICMDS3529 combines an L3000S truck, a Kfz.70 infantry carrier fitted with a Zwillingssockel 36 twin mount, and a Kfz.2 three-seat radio vehicle, delivering a cohesive subject for North Africa diorama scenes.
Formed in the winter of 1941 and later part of Panzer Group "Africa" under Erwin Rommel (from February 1942), the D.A.K operated a wide range of motor vehicles. This set captures that variety with well-detailed bodies, cabins and chassis, and proportions based on the real machines.

Specifications
For infantry transport, the s.E.Pkw Kfz.70 was employed, a version of the Horch 108 Typ 40 army vehicle. In the cargo bed of this vehicle, a Zwillingssockel 36 twin mount could be installed, carrying two 7.92 mm MG 34 machine guns for use against air targets or to provide fire support for infantry. Also in use was the light universal all-terrain vehicle le.gl.Einheits-Pkw, produced by Stoewer, BMW, and Hanomag from 1936. These multipurpose vehicles came in various configurations, one of which was the Kfz.2—a three seat radio communication vehicle equipped with a Torn.Fu.b1 radio set.
