The ICM ZiL-131 Emergency Truck (HC-ICM35518) recreates the K-131-bodied emergency variant of the renowned Soviet all-road truck. The real ZiL-131 entered production in 1967 and became a mainstay of the Soviet Army throughout the 1970s and 1980s thanks to its reliability and off-road capability. Used as a personnel and 5-ton cargo carrier, it was widely supplied to Warsaw Pact nations as well as many Asian and African countries. Numerous specialised versions were built for both military and civilian roles, including the emergency service configuration represented here.

From 1967 to 1990 around one million ZiL-131 trucks were manufactured. An improved ZiL-131N appeared in 1986, with later production moving from the original ZiL plant to the Ural Automotive Plant. Variants for different special purposes continue to see limited production to this day.

This 1:35 scale plastic model kit by ICM delivers a highly detailed build with quality moulding and precise fit. It features a finely rendered chassis, engine and interior, plus a two-option decal sheet for contemporary service vehicles. The set includes clear, illustrated assembly instructions and high-accuracy sprues produced from quality plastic.

The ZiL-131 was the main all-road Soviet Army truck of the 1970s and 1980s. Its serial production began in 1967 and featured high reliability and all-road ability. The basic model was used mainly as personnel transport or as a 5-ton capacity cargo truck. These trucks were supplied to Warsaw Pact countries and also to many Asian and African countries.

There were many ZiL-131 modifications for the Soviet Army and civilian use. One of them was the emergency truck in K-131 body. From 1967 to 1990, around 1,000,000 trucks were manufactured. The Improved model ZiL-131N was produced from 1986, and production later moved to the Ural Automotive Plant (from the original ZiL plant). A few trucks with different special purposes are still being produced in the present day.
