ZiL-131 MTO-AT - Soviet Recovery Truck

The ZiL-131 was the main all-road truck of the Soviet Army throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Entering serial production in 1967, it earned a reputation for reliability and versatility, serving as both personnel transport and a 5-ton capacity cargo truck. Widely supplied across Warsaw Pact nations and many countries in Asia and Africa, the ZiL-131 spawned numerous variants, including the MTO-AT recovery truck. Around one million ZiL-131 vehicles were produced from 1967 to 1990, with the improved ZiL-131N arriving in 1986 and later production moving to the Ural Automotive Plant.
