Description

The ICM ZiL-157 - Command Vehicle (HC-ICM72551) is a 1:72 plastic model kit. It depicts the ZiL-157 truck, a Soviet vehicle developed in 1958 by the design bureau attached to the Likhachov automobile factory in Moscow. Known for its cross-country capabilities, the ZiL-157 provided a base for a wide range of military vehicles, including command and staff mobile posts, fuel trucks, radio and radar stations, transport vehicles, launchers, medical cars and multiple launch rocket systems.

ZiL-157 trucks served with Soviet and Warsaw Pact armies, as well as armed forces in Africa, Asia and the Near East. They were also used in local conflicts from the 1950s through to the 1970s. This model represents the command vehicle version and includes a Soviet Army marking option from the 1960s. The kit contains detailed plastic sprues with 78 parts, while the supplied assembly instructions provide guidance for construction.

Model Features

The 1:72 scale makes this ZiL-157 suitable for collections focused on Cold War military vehicles, Soviet Army subjects or historical vehicle dioramas.
