Introducing the FMS 2500mm ASW-17

FMS is proud to announce the launch of the brand-new 2500mm ASW-17.

World champion pilot Daniel Aeberli has partnered with FMS to develop the world's first scale-performance foam glider — the ASW-17. True to the FMS philosophy, no detail has been overlooked in the design of this exceptional model. In pursuit of aerodynamic perfection, FMS engineers made four costly tooling adjustments to micro-refine the airfoil for optimal efficiency.

Innovative Construction

The wing, vertical stabiliser and horizontal stabiliser are all designed with a snap-fit structure. With a simple push, each surface connects to the fuselage with pinpoint accuracy. No screws or glue are required, and the entire assembly can be completed in as little as three minutes.

Just like the larger 3000mm Fox, the ASW-17 features a pre-installed carbon fibre spar to ensure wing rigidity during high-G manoeuvres. To replicate the dihedral angle of the full-scale aircraft, the model is equipped with a precision CNC-machined aluminium spar joiner. This guarantees wing alignment and integrity, even during demanding aerobatic routines.

Reliable Power and Performance

The ASW-17 is powered by a high-quality Hobbywing 40A ESC and a Predator 3541-750KV motor. When paired with a 4S battery, this configuration delivers ample power to perform a wide range of aerobatic manoeuvres with ease, while maintaining the smooth and stable characteristics expected of a performance glider.
