The Italeri Pak 97/38 Anti-Tank Gun with Crew (HC-96460) depicts the German PaK 97/38 used during World War II. Developed by combining the barrel of the French 75 mm Mle 1897 with a German carriage, it offered a quick and economical way to field a more potent weapon than the earlier 37 mm PaK 36, whose limitations became clear against Soviet armour such as the KV-1 and T-34.

According to historical service, the PaK 97/38 could fire a useful variety of ammunition and was also operated by anti-tank units of other Axis allies. Its role was eventually overtaken by the more modern 75 mm PaK 40. This 1:35 scale kit is well-suited to World War II scenes and dioramas, and includes crew figures to portray the gun in action.
