The ICM WWII US Army Kitchen Truck (HC-ICM35587) is a 1:35 plastic model kit depicting the mobile field kitchens used to feed American troops on the move. These vehicles transported kitchen equipment and supplies, enabling cooks to prepare hot meals during unit marches.
Full-size trucks featured extended arches for canvas covers so cooks could stand upright while working. Wooden bench seats, normally fitted inside troop carriers, were often set outside the body to hold pots, pans, and other utensils. A key component of these kitchens was the liquid-fuel M-1937 field stove, supplied with its own set of cookware and positioned either along the side walls of the body or near the cab. Various platforms served as mobile kitchens, including Chevrolet G506 modifications G7107 and G7117.
