The Prolux Automatic On Board Glow Driver / Igniter With Indicator (PX2205) provides a convenient remote glow solution using a spare receiver channel. Operating at 4.8–6.0V, it powers the glow plug for reliable engine starts. Press the button to activate; the red indicator light confirms operation and the unit automatically shuts off after 20 seconds.

This compact 30 g on-board glow driver is a practical choice for installations where easy, remote access to the glow plug is beneficial. Suggested compatibility includes nitro-powered RC aircraft and helicopters requiring a remote glow ignition setup.

No more carrying around an ignitor. All wired up neatly, simply press the button, pull the pull start. Away you go. Only draw back is you have slightly more power draw from the receiver battery but if your engine is set up we'll you'll hardly use the ignitor.

Would this work on a high-profile head engine, e.g. the LRP .28! The reason for me asking is that the plug socket is angled and might not clear the cavity on the cooling head for the glow igniter. Many thanks

This is for aircrafts and helis only i'm afraid it is not recommended for cars.

Hello, I would like to use this to energise the glow plug on my next tethered car racer. My issue is that I would need to energise this from a Li ion battery which gives 8.4 V nominal. This falls out side of the quoted voltage range, do you have experience of using this product at this higher voltage please?
