Description
The Mercedes Actros 1851 GigaSpace is the flagship long-haul tractor from Daimler, crowned Truck of the Year in 2012. Tamiya captures this modern icon in 1/14 scale with a detailed ABS plastic body and a working 3-speed, shift-on-the-fly transmission. The kit, Tamiya part HC-56335, brings the look and feel of the full-size rear-wheel drive rig to your on-road layout.
Built on a robust ladder frame chassis, the model uses metal leaf springs and friction dampers for a convincing ride. Differential gears promote smooth cornering, while a float-mounted die-cast front axle and reinforced resin rear axle add durability. Pre-moulded light buckets are ready to accept optional LEDs for an even more realistic finish.

Its latest installment, the rear-wheel drive Actros 1851 GigaSpace runs on a 12.8-liter 6-cylinder turbo-charged engine generating 510hp and is used for long-distance haulage, heavy duty distribution haulage, construction haulage and so on.
