Tamiya US M10 Mid Production

America’s first dedicated tank destroyer, the M10 was built on a Sherman hull with an open-topped turret carrying a 3-inch (76.2 mm) cannon capable of penetrating 8.8 cm of armour at 1,000 m. Prioritising mobility, it used relatively thin armour, with provision for auxiliary plates using bolts on the turret and hull. It first saw combat in Tunisia in 1943 and went on to serve in Italy, Western Europe and the Pacific.

This Tamiya plastic assembly kit (part number HC-32519) recreates the mid-production M10 with crisp detail. The model captures the angled hull armour and distinctively wedge-shaped, open-topped turret. Interior touches include the 76.2 mm gun’s loading mechanism and combat compartment, while multiple running gear options and stowage details provide a satisfying build.
