B-26B Marauder - WWII American Bomber

ICM’s B-26B Marauder – WWII American Bomber (HC-ICM48320) is a highly detailed 1:48 scale plastic model kit of the late B-26B-55-MA modification. The real twin-engine medium bomber, designed by the Glenn L. Martin Company to a 1939 US Army Air Corps requirement, first flew in November 1940 and entered service in February 1941. Through wartime service the Marauder saw continuous refinement; from 1943 the wing area and keel were increased, with the B-26B-55-MA produced up to February 1944 and serving prominently in European operations.

This kit is ICM’s first model of the late B-26 modification and has been developed with close attention to the aircraft’s geometry and proportions, using extensive drawings, diagrams, technical plans and photographs. The internal fuselage extension is accurately reproduced, and the model features detailed engines, pilots and air gunners, firing points with machine guns, and the Marin 250 CE upper machine gun turret. The bomb bay is fully fitted out with equipment and 500 lb bombs, and a comprehensive decal sheet covers European theatre markings.
