This unique variant mounts two large communication wire spools on a frame positioned behind the driver’s seat, expanding the operational detail for historically themed builds and dioramas.

Based on Dragon’s finely detailed Sd.Kfz.2 tooling, this release adds newly tooled spools and frame, a steerable front wheel, and individual track links for realistic definition. The set also includes three figures in greatcoats, aligning with the driver and crew included specification for dynamic posing options.

The Kettenkrad is one of the most unique vehicles developed during WWII. The "tracked motorcycle" concept was in response to a request for a fast, tracked vehicle capable of moving small loads in mountainous terrain. One of the variants of the Kettenkrad is Sd.Kfz. 2/2 "kleines Kettenkrad fur sch. Feldfernkabel" that has two big field communication wire spools mounted on a frame behind the driver seat.

Based on our fine-detailed Sd.Kfz. 2 (#6114), we now present you a unique variant with cable spools and the frame. It is the first such kit on the market, long awaited by modellers. The new-tooled spools and frame are accurately replicated. The steerable front wheel and individual track links make it a high-quality kit. On top of this cable dispenser, this kit consists of three figures that are all posed in greatcoats.
