Historical Background

The F/A-18 Hornet is a supersonic, multi-role fighter aircraft developed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) for the United States Navy. Renowned for its versatility, the Hornet is capable of operating as both a fighter and an attack aircraft, excelling in air-to-air, air-to-ground and air-to-sea missions.
