The Seagull Gee Bee (120) ARTF (SEA-82) captures the spirit of 1930s air racing in a sleek, sporty 1.8m wingspan model designed for intermediate to advanced pilots. With its distinctive short fuselage, bold round cowl and high‑presence outline, this replica offers classic looks with responsive, smooth aerobatic handling.

Built from lightweight balsa and plywood and factory covered in Oracover, the Gee Bee assembles quickly. It’s designed for 20–25cc petrol power, a 120 2‑stroke (150 4‑stroke), or an electric equivalent. Pre‑hinged control surfaces, durable landing gear, and a factory‑painted fibreglass cowl featuring a dummy radial engine round out a practical ARTF that stands out both in the air and on the ground. Part number: 5500030.

Inspired by the legendary Gee Bee R‑series racers from Granville Brothers Aircraft, this model nods to the Golden Age of Air Racing with an unmistakable silhouette and purposeful performance.

About the original:
The Gee Bee R-series aircraft were purpose-built air racers developed by Granville Brothers Aircraft in the early 1930s. Known for their stubby fuselage, huge engines, and blistering speed, the Gee Bees became icons of the Golden Age of Air Racing. While notoriously challenging to fly, they embodied the bold and daring spirit of aviation's early pioneers.
