Tamiya Japanese Cruiser Mogami

The Tamiya Japanese Cruiser Mogami (HC-78021) is a 1/350 scale assembly kit model that recreates the Imperial Japanese Navy’s unique aircraft-carrying cruiser configuration. Supplied with multiple detail parts and display options, this premium kit is designed to deliver an accurate and impressive centrepiece for naval modellers.

Built in compliance with the London Naval Treaty, Mogami was completed in 1935 with 15.5cm guns in five triple turrets before later conversion to heavy cruiser armament with 20.3cm guns. She saw action in operations including the Malay landings, the Battles of Sunda Strait and Midway, where she was heavily damaged. During repairs, a flight deck capable of handling 11 floatplanes was added. After sustaining further damage at the Battle of Leyte, Mogami was abandoned and scuttled.
