Historical Notes

The Dodge WC-series earned the nickname “Beep” with US troops and saw extensive service from 1940 to 1945, with over 380,000 built. Powered by a six-cylinder 3.7 litre petrol engine rated at approximately 85–104 hp and designed for a 1/2 to 3/4 ton payload, these versatile machines fulfilled numerous roles, including command car, radio car, general purpose transport and ambulance. Beyond WWII, the WC-series continued to serve in the Korean War and various conflicts throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Many vehicles were supplied to the Soviet Army under the Lend-Lease programme, reflected in the included decal options.
