Featuring a scale ladder frame chassis, the Outback Mini comes with front and rear solid axles for full time 4WD and a four-gear transmission for maximum torque and drive. Coil sprung suspension via the multi-link design provides excellent articulation to help traverse your off road crawling course.
Unlike some other mini sized models, the Outback Mini features propor-tional throttle and steering for greater slow speed control when tackling any inclines or descents. The micro 220mAh 4-cell battery provides plenty of run time and can be easily changed in seconds.
Topping off the Outback Mini is a classic ‘80’s style pick-up truck body with moulded roll bar. Aggressive tread trail tyres keep all corners glued, while the factory fitted micro bumper LED lamps light the way when the sun goes down.

Roughly what top speed does this reach on a flat surface (e.g. tarmac). I'm looking at it as an option for an 8y old who wants a fast RC but doesn't realise quite how fast the some go. This seems to be faster than most crawlers from the videos I've seen. Thanks

These are a crawler, so desinged for low speed rock crawling. Top speed isn't quoted but we'd estimate maybe 15mph.

Is there a larger capacity battery I can use in my FTX Outback Mini that will increase the run time?

There's no high capacity battery available. Standard runtime should be around 10-15 mins depending on your driving style.

How long does it take to charge and what is the run time?

Standard runtime should be around 10-15 mins depending on your driving style. Charge time is apporx 1 hour
