Dragon’s HC-D6800 1/35 Wittmann’s Last Tiger captures the story of Michael Wittmann, one of WWII’s most renowned tank commanders. In Normandy, Wittmann fought in late-production Tiger I tanks, including “212” at Villers-Bocage and his final mount, Tiger I No. 007, where his career ended near St. Aignan de Cramesnil on 8 August 1944. This detailed plastic model kit focuses on that legendary period, offering fine engineering and historically oriented detailing for enthusiasts and collectors.

Designed for realism and smart assembly, the kit features a one-piece slide-moulded turret with moulded Zimmerit, precision interior elements, and premium extras. An aluminium gun barrel and copper towing cable are included as bonuses, while photo-etched parts and workable torsion bars elevate the build. Optional configurations allow turret-mounted spare tracks and a Zimmerit-free frontal armour area to accommodate LAH insignia placement.

Michael Wittmann was one of the most famous tank commanders of World War II, destroying over 150 enemy tanks and 130 other armoured vehicles during his combat career.

In the battle of Normandy, Wittmann was associated with two iconic Tiger I tanks that played a pivotal role in his exploits. The first was Tiger I late production "212", which he employed to devastating effect in the Battle of Villers-Bocage against British and Canadian forces in Normandy. Wittmann's final mount was Tiger I No. 007, the site of his dramatic last stand near the town of St.Aignan de Cramesnil, where his career came to an end on August 8, 1944 when his Tiger was destroyed.

Eighty years after his death, these three famous Tigers remain central to Wittmann's legacy as one of history's greatest tank aces.
