Flight Experience And Control
An optimised airframe delivers excellent low-speed handling and slow-speed performance, making this one of the easiest-to-fly jets in its class. The enlarged functional rudder expands control authority for confident circuits and aerobatics. Enhanced AS3X+ technology works behind the scenes to smooth turbulence, while optional-use SAFE Select adds pitch/bank limits and automatic self-levelling to assist when needed.
Power, Telemetry And Radio
The factory-installed brushless power system pairs with the Avian 30A Smart Lite ESC to provide strong thrust on 3S and even more speed and vertical on 4S—no mods required. With Smart and non‑Smart batteries, the ESC can feed real-time telemetry such as RPM, current and pack voltage to compatible receivers and Spektrum AirWare‑equipped transmitters. Suggested compatibility includes popular Spektrum DXS and NX/iX series when using the Smart Transmitter File for streamlined setup.
Take-Off, Landing And Assembly
Enjoy confident ground handling thanks to the wide-stance tricycle gear with a steerable nose wheel, or leave the gear off for maximum performance and simple hand launches and belly landings on grass. The unique and optimized design of its lightweight yet durable, composite-reinforced EPO airframe improves low-speed handling and slow-speed performance, making it one of the easiest to fly jets EVER! This updated and upgraded version features an improved airframe that's stronger and stiffer than before. And unlike other 50mm class models, it has a functional – and enlarged – rudder for added control and aerobatic capabilities. Inside, a Spektrum Avian 30-amp Smart Lite ESC and upgraded high-power brushless outrunner motor are ready to drive the 12-blade 50mm fan with a wide range of 3S – or now 4S – batteries. Skill Level 2 – Next Step After a Trainer aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who have successfully learned to fly a trainer model and those with the skills to assemble, set up and fly similar class models. And although this is one of the best-handling and easiest to fly EDF models ever, it's not a suitable first-ever RC aircraft for new pilots. You should have the experience and skills necessary to successfully fly a trainer model like the HobbyZone AeroScout 1.1m and Carbon Cub 1.3m, or models like the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Valiant 1.3m, Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m and other similar class models before attempting to fly the BNF Basic version Habu SS 50mm EDF.

They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!
The BNF Basic version Habu SS 50mm EDF is equipped with a factory-installed Spektrum AR631+ receiver that features exclusive Spektrum AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. Enhanced AS3X+ works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence better than ever before to deliver an even more locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select offers pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch! If you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, simply bind the receiver normally, and only AS3X+ will be active.
The Habu SS 50mm EDF is equipped with an exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC that can provide a variety of real-time power system related telemetry data including motor RPM, current, battery voltage and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – via compatible receivers (including the AR631+) and Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and others) while you fly. It also features optional-use motor/thrust reversing to offer special ground handling and other capabilities!
This BNF aircraft is equipped with a receiver that is loaded with a Smart Transmitter File (STF) that makes programming your transmitter as easy as a few clicks of a button. When you bind your transmitter to an STF-equipped aircraft, all programming parameters download automatically from the receiver if you choose. Switch assignments, rates, expo, telemetry, and voice callouts configure themselves. No lengthy step-by-step instructions. No continual adjustments. Just push-button convenience that gets you flying faster.

The Habu SS 50mm EDF arrives mostly factory-assembled with the power system, servos plus the receiver (BNF Basic version only) installed. All you need to do is finish some quick and easy final assembly, without the use of glue or special tools, and you'll be ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery!
