Classic beetle style meets tough 4WD performance with the FTX Bugsta Brushed RTR off-road buggy. Built on the proven Carnage platform, this 1/10 scale shaft-drive buggy blends the agility of a buggy with the stance of a truck for confident running on varied terrain. The FTX5530 package partners an Etronix EX2 2.4GHz radio with a waterproof ESC, a torquey 550 brushed motor and a Voltz 1800mAh NiMH battery, plus a waterproof 3kg metal-geared steering servo.

Durability is engineered in: metal crown and pinion gears, front universal driveshafts and an adjustable slipper help safeguard the drivetrain. Handling can be dialled in to your driving style with big bore oil-filled shocks, adjustable turnbuckles and fully tuneable suspension including droop, camber, toe-in and wheelbase. A moulded tub chassis and unique low-CG gearbox design keep weight low and centred, while the pre-painted beetle-style bodyshell completes the classic look.

FTX BUGSTA RTR 1/10TH BRUSHED 4WD OFF-ROAD BUGGY

Classic beetle style and brawn fuse together with the FTX Bugsta, the latest heavy-duty 4wd off road vehicle from FTX. Using the same chassis platform as the hugely popular Carnage Truggy, the Bugsta captures best of buggies and trucks, with a bit of monster thrown in for good measure!

The 4wd shaft drivetrain features metal diff gears and front universal driveshafts, while an integrated slipper helps protect the drivetrain from possible damage under power. With adjustable turnbuckles all round and large bore oil filled shock absorbers the Bugsta can be tuned to suit you or the surface.

Control is via an Etronix 2.4ghz EX2 radio system, with power being provided via a brushed 550 motor, electronic speed control and a Voltz 1800mah NiMH battery, with steering being handled by a waterproof 3kg metal geared steering servo.

Brilliant buggy, arrived the next day. Handles anything thrown at it. Independent suspension works fantastic and can be adjusted with the collars fitted, tyres handle grass,mud, road with ease. Highly recommended both buggy and shop

I just purchased a FTX bugsta What upgrades can be done to it ? And secondly can this be fitted with a brushless motor?

Yes you can go brushless and they list a full set of aluminium upgrades under the ftx carnage that will fit , arms, chassis, hubs etc all in aluminium.

It only comes in blue in this version, you can buy anothert shell to get the green version. To buy 2 just add two to your basket.

Officially they are rated for 7.2v so best to stick to that.

Does this product contain an RC controller? It's not clear. The "8 x AA batteries needed" suggest it does, but it's not on the picture.

If it's just the antenna tube you need, you can use something like part number WM-003

If it's the antenna wire itself, that is soldered onto the receiver PCB, so you'd need a new receiver.
