Description
Guild Materials Clear Shrinking Dope (60ml Jar), part number GLDCEX1000060, is a clear cellulose lacquer for tautening and sealing lightweight model aircraft coverings.
As it dries, the dope shrinks tissue and fabric across the airframe, helping to remove wrinkles and sags and creating a smooth, taut surface. This traditional model aircraft finish also seals porous coverings, including tissue, silk and paper, against moisture and light abrasion.
The clear, almost colourless finish helps preserve the appearance of the covering while adding stiffness to the completed structure. This increased rigidity is suited to lightweight model aircraft and gliders where a taut and sound covering is required. The fast-drying formula allows multiple coats to be applied during the finishing process.
Features
Use the 60ml jar for applying a clear shrinking finish to model aircraft coverings. The formulation combines tautening, sealing and structural reinforcement in one traditional cellulose lacquer, helping the covering dry tight while protecting it from everyday environmental exposure. Its clear appearance makes it suitable where the underlying colour and material should remain visible.
