Description
Heki 30981 Grey Grassmat 75 x 100 cm, part number 5546005, is a grey pre-flocked grass mat for scenic ground cover in models, dioramas and displays. It has a flexible backing coated with fine static grass fibres, providing a textured surface that can be used across model railways, architectural models and tabletop scenery.
The mat can be cut with scissors, torn by hand or shaped around irregular terrain and curves. Cutting allows cleaner edges for defined areas, while hand tearing creates uneven transitions between different landscape sections. Its flexible construction allows it to follow hills, bends and other changes in terrain without needing to be formed as a flat sheet.
Features
- Grey grass mat measuring 75 x 100 cm
- Flexible backing with fine static grass fibres
- Can be cut, torn or shaped for different terrain profiles
- Provides immediate ground cover for model scenery
- Suggested uses include model railways, architectural models, dioramas and tabletop scenery
- Suggested substrate options include wood, foam and plastic
The static grass fibres provide a raised surface texture rather than a flat painted finish. Suggested adhesive options include PVA glue, spray adhesive and hot glue, depending on the substrate and the way the scenic area is being assembled. The sheet can therefore be used as a larger area of continuous cover or divided into smaller sections for separate landscape details.
