The Hitec HS322HD Karbonite Gear Analogue Servo - 3.7kg - 0.15s (Bulk Pack of 10), part number 2213220, is a bulk pack of 10 standard analogue servos for radio-control applications. Each servo uses Hitec’s Karbonite gear train, which the manufacturer states is four times stronger than its standard white nylon gears and shows no signs of wear after hundreds of thousands of cycles.
The HS322HD combines a three-pole ferrite motor with a Karbonite gear train, a nylon bushing-supported output shaft and a long-life potentiometer. Its standard servo size, black colour and plastic construction suit it to a range of model installation requirements. The stated torque is 3.7kg/cm, with a speed of 0.15 seconds per 60 degrees at an operating voltage of 4.8V to 6.0V.
Suggested applications include helicopters and aircraft up to 72 inches or up to 12lb when using one servo per control surface. High-vibration petrol engines, large control surfaces and large throws on 3D models can place additional strain on the gears; the manufacturer recommends metal-geared servos for those conditions, even where the model is below 12lb. Do not use thread locker on this Karbonite-geared servo, as it can cause the output shaft to fail.
