Ordered one of these ESC's after hearing good reviews about them and was impressed by the quality and the fact that my motor is so much quicker and responsive now, so had to get more to replace the previous ESC's I had

29th September 2022

Tried a few of the lower price point Brushed ESC's. Some burned out quick, some had safety issues, some didn't deliver the power stated by a long way. I tried these quick runs and have since bought 7 to replace all the ones I had, plus two 880 models for duel motor control. They are fantastic, I am using them outside of their design parameters and they are working just fine and dandy, no issues after 2 months of hammering.

has worked great for over 4 years with no faults whatsoever would 100% recommend for anyone wanting to make a rc with batteries up to 3s

I'm looking to replace a msc on my old Tamiya Super Hornet, I am looking at at ESC and have a Acoms receiver which looks like it needs a battery input, could you advise on which ESC would be suitable or if I need a new receiver? Many thanks
George / 28th December 2022

You could use this esc but you would need a more modern receiver which takes the power from the esc.

Steve @ Wheelspin Models

Which fan should I use on the 1060? Thanks
Mark Saville / 7th February 2021

These wouldn't normally need a fan in most conditions - but any fan aimed at it would help airflow

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Hobbywing Quicrun 1060 Brushed SBEC 60A ESC Hi is this a good upgrade for my stock ftx Kanyon and can I fit xt30 connector ok? Thanks

Yes, that should work fine.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Hi Would this be ok to use with RC4WD 540 Crawler Brushed Motor 55T PART NUMBER: Z-E0003. If not, could you please recommend a similar priced ESC that would work with the motor. Many thanks. Dave
Dave / 3rd November 2018

Yes, that would work fine with that motor.

You may however want to look at a specific crawler ESC such as HW30112750 for more crawler specific features.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
I am looking to replace the combined ESC and radio on a Ripmax Jackal, I am happy I will need to do some 'modifications' to make everything fit, and very capable of doing this. Re: ESC 1625 (which you have no stock of) or 1060 (is there an issue of using a bigger ESC?)? unsure...
Mark Ferris / 12th August 2018

HW30120000 is rated at 25 amps, this 1060 is rated at 60 amps.  There's no harm in using a bigger ESC, as they will only supply what the motor is drawing.  Provided you can fit the larger model in your chassis it will be fine.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Hi, will this esc work with a 13T motor and 7.2v battery?
Philip / 4th August 2018

Yes, that should be fine.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Stephen Haworth / 12th July 2018

Yes, should be a simple plug and play job.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models

  • 3S LiPo: 18T
