The Hobbywing EZRun MAX5 HV G2 ESC Combo with 56118SD 650KV G2 Motor (part HW38010603) pairs a high-current, 12S-capable speed controller with a large 56×119mm sensored brushless motor. Designed for extreme 1/5-scale performance, it brings smooth control, strong braking and dependable thermal management for demanding big-scale builds.

Can this happilly run 8s and 12s when i fancy it?

Yes the limit for 12s on that ESC is 800kv so that should be fine.
