The Hobbywing Xerun V10 13.5T G5 Torque Black Motor, part number HW30401763, is a sensored brushless motor for 1/10 and 1/12 stock racing applications. It produces 3900KV and is designed for use with 1–3S LiPo batteries.
This G5 motor delivers a 3.9% increase in maximum output power and more than 4% improved efficiency compared with the V10 G4R 13.5T. Its redesigned endbell exposes more of the winding to support heat dissipation, while the patented rotor cooling design helps manage operating temperatures and maintain consistent operation.
The motor has been redesigned to reduce weight by 13g compared with the G4R version, with the internal layout moving weight towards the vehicle centreline. This arrangement is intended to support the weight distribution of a racing model without adding unnecessary mass.
Adjustable Sensor System
The timing assembly includes an angle adjustment for fine-tuning the Hall sensors. This allows the motor to be adjusted for smoother running and improved efficiency. Rotor and sensor spacing can also be altered through three settings, allowing the response and feel of the power delivery to be adjusted for the driver and track conditions.
A modular construction makes the motor easier to clean and maintain between runs. The V10 G5 is a two-pole, sensored brushless design with a 3.175mm shaft. Its black finish and compact dimensions suit the requirements of stock racing installations where motor specification, weight and sensor adjustment are important considerations.
